Georgia: The Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports continues to provide sports equipment to Municipalities of high region of country. This time, the Municipalities of Sachkhere and Chiaturi received sports gear and equipment for clubs.
The First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia, Yoseb Bagaturia, Besik Gopodze, the Deputy Commissioner of State in Imereti, representatives of local self-government, and teachers of local sports institutions attended the handing over of inventory and equipment.
Famous Georgian Strongman, European Vice-Champion Konstantine Janashi also attended the transfer of inventory and equipment.
As part of the “State Program for Financial Assistance and Sports Development Support for Coaches Employed in Sports in Highlands Settlements,” a group of the Ministry’s staff conducted a survey to study the needs of coaches and their students in 25 highland municipalities.
Municipalities are experiencing a shortage of sporting equipment and equipment. Some of the existing inventory and equipment were damaged and needed to be replaced. This situation would adversely affect the quality of training, increase the risk of injuries, and hinder the development of the sport. Based on the analysis of the monitoring results, the Ministry has applied to “SportsmenService” Ltd, which has acquired sports equipment and sports equipment.
Within the budget allocated by the Ministry, the company purchased 3 788 620 GEL worth 8355 units of different kinds of sports equipment for sports schools and institutions in 25 municipalities and sports federations.
