Gardabani: The Construction works of the European standards football stadium in the village of Sartichala of Gardabani municipality are all set to be completed very soon. The state commission, along with many others, visited the stadium to take stock of the current situation.
This is not the first stadium, Rather number of other sports facilities are being established to upgrade the sports culture of the country. The central government is committed to providing a world-class environment to all sportspersons so that they can excel in different games at the national, regional as well as international levels.
It is to be specifically mentioned that Giorgi Dokhturishvili, State Commissioner, visited the new stadium with 530 spectators in Lower Kartli with the Mayor of Gardabani Municipality, David Kargareteli and the President of the Football Federation of Georgia, Levan Kobiashvili.
The new project of the sports stadium at the international level includes a modern standard square, tribune, lighting system, parking space, roofing, and the construction of the base etc.
At the same time a fitness center is also being built in the area that will help to develop athletes’ abilities and develop them into professional football players. The stadium will be fully adapted for people with disabilities and will be equipped with all the necessary equipment.
It is worth mentioning that Sports infrastructure construction works were co-financed by the Municipality of Gardabani and the Georgian Football Federation and its value reached 3,000,000 GEL.
The mayor and the president of football of Georgia, the deputies of the trustee, Nika Kobakhidze and Ilia Jalaghania, the chairman of the municipality of Gardabani, Mikheil Gedekhauri and the first vice president of the football federation of Georgia Kakha Chumburidze visited the stadium that has been created with modern standards.
The ground of the stadium is very wide and has a dark green look with green grass. There are marks on both sides for the easy use of the facility by players.
The visiting delegation also interacted with the sportsperson during their visit. They also posed for a group photo with all the players, who seemed to be very happy.
The stadium was also equipped with an electronic scoreboard. Similarly, on one side, there is a tin shed for the spectators.The shed has a seating capacity for hundreds of people.
