Simon Sakvareldze was one of the great trainers who raised Olympic and world prize winners through his dedication without any sports equipment or special equipment. Every year, a tournament is held in his memory in the municipality. The tournament has now gained popularity on an international scale. The local government always supports such initiatives with the help of sports personnel. I hope the sports school will raise future world champions by training the players with world-class sports equipment,” added Vasil Gvelesian.

The representatives of the local self-government and the federation engaged in a fruitful discussion, underlined their unwavering commitment to the region’s growth and promotion of fencing. This collective effort is a testament to the shared vision and dedication to the sport.
