In Dortmund, Germany, the Georgian national football team held the first match of the European Championship. Georgian footballers faced the Turkish team and lost the match 1:3.
The first half of the game ended with a draw—1:1. Mert Miuldiuri opened the score in the 25th minute, and in the 32nd minute, with the pass of Giorgi Kochorashvili, Giorgi Mikautadze equalized the score. In the second half, Arda Giuleri advanced the Turkish team in the 65th minute, and Kerem Akturkoghlu scored the third goal.
They would like to remind everyone that after defeating Greece in the final of the European Championship Qualifying Stage at the “Dinamo Arena,” the Georgian national team won the right to compete in the final stage of “Euro 2024” for the first time in history. The Georgian national team competes in group “F” and will hold the next match on June 22 with the Czech Republic and on June 26 with Portugal.
