The representatives of the Scientific Research Center and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara attended the working meeting held at the SC Agricultural Scientific-Research Center on March 28, 2025, Friday.
It should be noted that the Scientific Research Center for Agriculture provides scientific support for the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara.
The Scientific Research Center for Agriculture (SRCA) shared glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook page on March 28, 2025. The Ministry also shared some information related to the meeting along with the photographs.
It is worth noting that the main goal of the meeting was to provide scientific and practical support to the Ministry of Agriculture in Adjara, developing relevant recommendations and deepening cooperation.
In light of the challenges facing the region’s agrarian sector, the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara is implementing the sub-program “Agrarian Extension Delivery,” which aims to educate farmers and agro-entrepreneurs in the area about the newest technologies and cutting-edge methods used in the agricultural sector.
“In the process of creating practical and informative materials for farmers, the Ministry relies on the scientific resource of the Center. The Ministry publishes brochures based on research conducted by scientists of the Agricultural Scientific and Research Centre and their recommendations.
“These materials are an important guide for farmers, which help to implement modern agrotechnologies, increase soil fertility, increase yields, and maintain environmental sustainability” – noted Levan Bolkvadze, Head of the Agrarian Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture in Adjara.
Notably, the Scientific-Research Center, within the framework of long-term cooperation, will actively continue to support the Ministry’s projects. As Deputy Director of the Center, Nodar Khatiashvili noted, “Our goal is to include the brochures practical advice from the latest scientific studies, which will contribute to promoting agrarian knowledge, educating farmers, and developing agriculture in the country”.
