The new year comes with new opportunity, so we need to grab this opportunity also. Moreover, this time give us a new energy to bring change in life of poor and down trodden section of society as well, said Verava.
He in his address added that, “The year 2024 has passed, it has not been an easy year, there were challenges and obstacles, but there was the main thing – victory! The Georgian idea and the Georgian state have won.”
He said, this year, I congratulate you on the New Year for the first time as the State Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti. This region is of great importance for our homeland with its history and role! I am glad that I was given the opportunity to serve this region and its proud and talented citizens! Happy New Year, my passionate Mingrelians and Svans, may it be a year of much joy and success.”
He said, I would like to congratulate every citizen of Georgia on the New Year, I congratulate our Abkhazian and Ossetian citizens with great longing, I believe that we will return to each other.

He also said that, may the grace of the temples of Ushguli Lamaria, Khobi Virgin Mary, Tsalenjikha Transfiguration, Nokalakevi Forty Martyrs, Guleikar St. George, Poti Bright Resurrection, Tsachkhura Archangel, Otsindale St. George, Zugdidi Vlakerni All-Holy Virgin Mary – may the grace of the temples be with each citizen of our region and all of Georgia.
