Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Aleksandre Tsuladze awarded the winners of the first stage of “Studfest 2025” and wished success to the students participating in the second stage. The event was held on June 20, 2025, Friday.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the award ceremony on its official Facebook page. The Ministry also shared a small note along with its photographs.
According to the information shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that at the event, the Minister spoke with students about promoting healthy lifestyles and the importance of teamwork, focusing particularly on the value of “Studfest”.
During the first stage of “Studfest“, up to 15,000 young people participated in sports tournaments and educational and scientific competitions held between universities, with 350 of them emerging as winners.
The second stage of the student festival has already begun. Volunteering component is currently underway and students from 18 higher and vocational institutions are taking part in volunteering initiatives. The festival will continue in September with a cultural component, which includes six different and diverse competitions.
It was held within the sports fields: futsal, padel, tennis, stand throwing, 3×3 basketball, street football, paintball, karting, arm wrestling, table tennis, Georgian wrestling, chess, Nardi, Shashi, darts, rock climbing, judo, seven-man rugby, mini soccer, sambo tournament, billiards, bowling, volleyball, swimming, badminton, sprint, cybersport (FIFA), volleyball, cordoba.
The educational/scientific contests included an intellectual competition among students, debates, and a “City Game“. The summarizing event of the festival was also attended by Vakhtang Baakashvili, Head of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall, representatives, and students.
The festival is organized by the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth, the SP Youth Agency, the City Hall of Tbilisi City, and the Association of Georgian Student Organizations and students of higher and vocational educational institutions can participate in it.
