Georgia: Svaneti International Film Festival “Dali” will be held for the fourth time in Mestia with the promotion of the National Center of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia on 15-21 July.
Ruben Ostlund’s film “Square” was shown at the festival (Sweden, Germany, France, Denmark; 2017 year. ). Director Ruben Ostlund also attended the show. He addressed the audience with a word. The film won the Cannes Film Festival’s main prize – “Golden Palm Rto.”
Viewers will watch short, animated, and full-length feature films, as well as samples of Georgian silent cinema. Specialists will hold eight film industry masterclasses, one of which will be held on Hatsvali. Movie screenings are free to attend.
On June 17-18, festival guests saw Georgian and foreign short films:

- “The Real Truth about the Struggle”, dir. Andrea Slavicek (Croatia, 2023 );
- “Basri and Salma in an endless comedy,” dir. Khozi Rizal (Indonesia, 2023). )
A rehearsal for the presentation of film projects was held. During the session, young filmmakers heard project advice from experts to make perfect presentations to an international jury.
Bacho Odisharia, Head of the Film Production Department of the National Cinema Centre, is attending the festival.
The festival’s goal is to support young cinematographers at all stages of project implementation and contribute to the development of the Georgian film industry. Talented directors, producers, and writers worldwide can learn and present their work in an enjoyable, creative environment.
