Tbilisi, Georgia: Tbilisi City Hall has announced that it will organize a New Year Village at Orbeliani Square and Mamaeni Garden from December 16 to January 7 as part of its festive program to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The New Year Village will offer a variety of attractions and activities for visitors of all ages, including Christmas markets, industrial markets, sweets festivals and various food establishments. Musical evenings will be held on the festive stage daily, featuring local and international artists.
Children will also enjoy the New Year Village, with entertainment performances, fairy-tale hero marches and an ice rink at Orbeliani Square. The Mamaeni Garden will have a Santa’s house, an elf workshop, Christmas decorations and an amusement park. Children’s concerts and the “Student New Year Festival” will also be held, showcasing the talents of young performers.
The New Year Village will culminate with a festive event on January 7, the Christmas holiday, marking the end of the celebrations. Tbilisi City Hall wishes all citizens a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and invites them to join the New Year Village, which is free to attend.
Tbilisi City Hall has been organizing the New Year Village since 2019 to promote its culture, tourism and economy. The New Year Village has become a popular destination for locals and tourists, who enjoy the festive atmosphere and the diverse offerings.
The New Year Village is also a way for Tbilisi City Hall to support local businesses, artisans and performers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
