The work of constructing the bridge between University Street and the Bagebi settlement is about to be complete very soon. The construction work was started nearly two years ago. Recently the Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze visited the site to get the latest information.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the Mayor during his visit was accompanied by the Chairman of the Sakrebulo Giorgi Tkemaladze and deputy Mayor Irakli Bebdeliani as well. Tbilisi City Hall shared the information about the visit of the Mayor to the site on their official page. Here the pictures of the construction site were also uploaded which shows that the construction work is going on at full pace and soon it will be ready to use the bridge.

The construction workers were doing work with dedication to complete it within the stipulated time limit. The mayor on this occasion expressed his satisfaction that work is going on smoothly. He also said that this will benefit the people in a big way as they can save their precious time during their journey.  The total length of the bridge is almost half a kilometer, moreover, it is a four-lane to cater to the huge traffic rush of the cities.

The movement of bicycles and pedestrians will also be allowed along with the vehicles over the roads. It is to be added that before construction works the existing road was very narrow which was impossible for the traffic movement as the traffic has increased manyfold in all the cities of the country as well.

University street from now will also have the provision of the underground. The Mayor also has interaction with the representative of the construction company. He also assured the company representative that there would be no financial problems for the construction projects.

The social media users also appreciated the Mayor. One user commented, “Long live the mayor of Tbilisi”. Another  user Manana Tatuashvili commented that “all the best kakha.”
