Georgia: During his visit to Massachusetts, Georgian Ambassador David Zalkaliani visited the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT). Ambassador met with MIT leadership and Georgian students at the university and got acquainted with the programs between the university and the Georgian side.
Representatives of the Institute’s International Programs, Elizabeth Wood and Ekaterina Zabrovsky, introduced David Zalkaliani to MIT programs in Georgia, which has been ongoing since 2017. Particularly remarkable is the cooperation between MIT and the Georgian Center for Technology and Innovation (GITA), within which MIT alumni and students take educational courses in Georgia.
The Ambassador spoke about academic and scientific research and educational exchange programs between Georgia and the United States and stressed the importance of expanding them. Also, the Ambassador discussed plans for implementing educational and cultural events in Boston and Massachusetts to promote Georgian culture.

 As part of the visit to the state of Massachusetts, Ambassador David Zalkaliani paid a visit to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and met with the university faculty and Georgian students.
Representatives of the institute’s international programs (MISTI) introduced Ambassador to the MIT activities in Georgia, which started in 2017 and highlighted the cooperation between MIT and the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA). Through this partnership, MIT graduates and students conduct educational courses in Georgia.
Ambassador talked about academic and research, and educational exchange programs between Georgia and the United States and emphasized the importance of expanding these exchanges. Ambassador also discussed the plans for new educational and cultural activities in Boston and the state of Massachusetts to promote Georgia.
