Georgia: The football camp of one of Europe’s prominent clubs – AC Milan – Milan Junior Camp was opened, for the first time in Georgia, on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Local teenagers, divided into age groups in the modern sports complex located on the Nutsubidze Plateau in Vaki district, will undergo intensive training for a week with the official program of AC Milan.
The Mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, attended the opening of the football camp in Georgia together with Italian Ambassador Massimiliano D’Antuono and Football Federation General Secretary David Mujiri.
The Mayor of Tbilisi also gave a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he noted, “It’s an important day because one of the greatest clubs in the world with history arrived in our capital to allow the little ones and young people to see what the training and tactics of the Milan club are like.”
Kakha Kaladze stated, “It’s important to feel all these things from childhood, especially for children your age. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped to organize this football camp. I thank the Italian Embassy in Georgia, the Ambassador, for his support. ”
He is also thankful to the Football Federation and the organizers, because the little ones must have the opportunity to wear this most important black and red shirt.
It is noteworthy that there is a great story behind this shirt. This is the club that has won everything in the world that could be won. So, everyone, grab this opportunity. “The mentioned camp will function for one week, and two exercises will be held. I want to wish you good luck,” added Kakha Kaladze.
Children from 6 to 15 years old are participating in the Milan Junior Camp. The project offers young footballers a unique opportunity to learn football at the highest standard, to engage in a team, disciplined, and fun process.
It is noteworthy that the coordinator of the “Milan” Academy of Georgia also visited. Within the framework of the project, an informative working meeting for Georgian coaches will be held. At the meeting, the persons employed in this sport will be introduced to the specifics of the Milan Academy and will share their experiences, which will contribute to the implementation of AC Milan’s methodology in the Georgian football space.
Sports Corporation LLC is organized in Georgia. The project is part of AC Milan’s global development vision. It aims to develop local football by sharing club values and experiences.
The event was attended by representatives of Milan Academy Giorgi Popkhadze and Lorenzo Chipriani, as well as chief coach Fabio Vanoni.
