On October 22-23 in Tbilisi, the traditional Silk Road Forum is being held, which is held once every 2 years, under the patronage of the Prime Minister. The opening ceremony will be held in the Tbilisi Opera House. A total of 7 thematic panel discussions will be held and will be attended by leading political leaders and business corporations from the region countries.
As the Minister noted, during the panel discussions, Georgia will once again have the opportunity to represent large-scale infrastructure projects in the international arena, such as Anaklia Deepwater Port, Tbilisi International Airport, highway construction, and many more projects, which will ensure and promote the strengthening of our country’s economy while positioning our country in the middle of the aisle.
Mariam Kvrivishvili emphasized the arrival of a high-ranking business leader at the forum, such as Mohammed Ali Alabar, founder of the largest development group in the United Arab Emirates, “Emaar Holding”, whose company “Eagle Hills” will implement development projects in Georgia with a total investment of 6.5 billion dollars. As the minister noted, Muhammad Ali Alabar will have a private interview in the forum during which the public will learn more about the mentioned investment project.
As the minister noted, over the past decade, the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum has become a very important platform for political and economic dialogue between the countries. “In addition, the forum is a great opportunity for our country to establish its position in the international arena and to present with dignity the important achievements, which we see as results every year,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
