The Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakava is visiting Georgia with Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze, the Director of Permanent Representation, the Bank Secretariat and representatives of the Organizational Group. They visited locations where events are planned to be held.
The 57th annual meeting will be held from 2 to 5 May 2024 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Georgia is hosting this meeting for the first time.
The conference will focus on “Building a Resilient and Inclusive Future for Asia and the Pacific.” It will showcase Georgia’s economic development, regional cooperation, and environmental sustainability achievements.
The ADB President, Masatsugu Asakawa, discussed the preparations for the meeting and the cooperation between ADB and Georgia. They also visited some venues where the events are planned, such as the Expo Georgia Exhibition Center, the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, and the Rustaveli National Theatre.
Georgia has every opportunity to host such a high-level forum with the participation of up to 4000 participants and guests, including the Asian Development Bank President, Vice Presidents, Bank Executive Directors, 68-member country delegation, representatives of international financial institutions, private sector, international and civil society, international And the local media.
