Tbilisi, Georgia: The Tbilisi City Hall has launched the Program “European Youth Card” for young people aged 18 to 30. The program means more than 25,000 discounts in 40 European countries and unites 9.3 million young people.
The presentation of the “European Youth Card” was held by the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze. Manve signed a memorandum with the General Director of “Bank of Georgia“, Archil Gachechiladze.
The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the presentation on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The City Hall also shared a small note about the program along with its glimpses.
According to the short note shared by the City Hall, it should be noted that together with the mayor of Tbilisi, Irakli Gilava, the head of the Civil Service of Culture, Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs, provided detailed information to the society.
As he noted, the “European Youth Card” has been operating and managed by the European Youth Card Association, a Brussels-based non-profit international organization.
The programme aims to increase the access of young people to mobility, accommodation, education, sport, culture, and entertainment services. Discounts apply to travel and transportation services (Flixbus, Flixtrein, Iberia airways, Airalo), food facilities, music festivals, books and other goods stores, hotels, and amusement parks.
In addition to discounts, the program will create educational, voluntary activities in areas such as European projects, raffles, online activities, and more.
Tbilisi City Hall represents the exclusive partner of the association in Georgia. With the cooperation of the Municipality Hall and “Bank of Georgia”, the beneficiaries of the program will be able to get the advantages of the “European Youth Card” in the Internet Bank and combine banking services with European opportunities in one space.
The website eyc.ge and a mobile application have already been created for the “European Youth Card” program, which contains detailed information about local or international discounts and ways to get them.
The presentation of the “European Youth Card” was attended by Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Sport Shalva Gogoladze, Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi Giorgi Tkemaladze, Chairman of the City Council Zurab Abashidze, Deputy Mayor, and youth.
