Tbilisi, Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Tamar Ioseliani, took part in the presentation of the post stamp, “Tbilisi City – Dimitri Kipiani 150 years.”
Notably, the presentation was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Georgian achiever Dimitri Kipiani’s election as the mayor of the city, which was held in the Tbilisi City Council building on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia shared the glimpses of the presentation event on its Official Facebook Page on October 28, 2025, Wednesday. The Georgian Ministry also shared the details of the event along with its glimpses.
According to the details shared by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, it should be noted that Deputy Minister Tamar Ioseliani gave a speech at the presentation.
During his speech at the presentation, he noted, “The postage stamp, in addition to the direct purpose, means confirmation of payment for postage shipping and Philatelia, is also a country’s business card. The country’s history, culture, sports, and other important events will be discussed on it.”
According to the Deputy Minister, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development is paying special attention to the process of creating and launching a postage stamp.
The Chairman of Tbilisi City Council, Zurab Abashidze, opened the presentation. General Director of Georgian Post Giorgi Eradze, members of the Tbilisi City Council, and guests also spoke.
It is worth noting that the head of Georgian Post, Giorgi Eradze, gave one anniversary stamp to Dimitri Kipiani’s Museum.
The anniversary postal stamp was made in close cooperation with the Tbilisi City Council, through decisions of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Georgian Post.
The postage stamp is in circulation from October 23, 2025, and is available at Georgian Post Service Centers throughout Georgia.
