On the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, the Center of Excellence for Logistics and Construction for 1,200 students is being built in Tbilisi.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of construction works on its official Facebook Page on March 8, 2026, Sunday. The Georgian Ministry also shared a small note about the construction works along with their glimpses.
Baia Kvitsiani, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, got acquainted with the progress of construction works.
The Deputy Minister talked about supporting the improvement of the infrastructure of vocational educational institutions and emphasized the importance of establishing a new hub for logistics and construction of modern standards in Tbilisi.
According to him, the Center of Excellence will help existing professional education institutions share knowledge, train teachers, develop learning resources, and attract international partners. Also, provides provision of services tailored to the needs of the private sector.
The large-scale project, which involves the construction of educational buildings on 15,930 square meters, with the support of the German Reconstruction Credit Bank (KfW), is being implemented within the framework of the vocational education program – “TVET Program I“.
The main goal of the Centre of Excellence is to provide high-quality, practical, and job-based vocational education, as well as to strengthen private sector partnerships and implement technological innovations in construction and logistics, which provides the skilled workforce in the labour market.
The Excellence Center will implement both diploma and vocational training and short-term training programs.
