Tbilisi, Georgia: A new kindergarten will be opened in the Lilo settlement in 2026. The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, visited the construction site on Monday, November 24, 2025, and met with Deputy Kakha Abuladze.
The Mayor noted, “Construction of a new kindergarten is underway in Lilo settlement. It is essential to implement this project, because there was a great need for a kindergarten in this settlement.”
According to him, the works will be complete in a few months, both the internal and external perimeter – the yard will be completely tidy. So pleased with every detail being paid special attention to, and they have another garden of new, modern standards.
“We had some problems while implementing the project. The company carrying out the jobs today is the fourth company. The previous companies could not fulfill their obligations, and we had to let them go,” said Kakha Kaladze.
The Tbilisi City Hall shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on November 24, 2025. The City Hall also shared a small note about the ongoing works along with its glimpses.
It is worth noting that the major stage of construction has been completed. At this time, the equipment, facilities, and the outer perimeter of the building are being arranged.
The kindergarten will have 12 groups and will serve up to 400 educators, and up to 100 people will be employed. The building will be equipped in accordance with child safety standards. Playgrounds with attractions and parking inventory will be set up in the garden.
Along with the mayor of the capital, Guram Okropiridze, the head of the Kindergarten Management Agency, Samgori district spokesperson Kakha Samkharadze, and the deputy of Tbilisi City Council, Mamuka Khabareli, were present.
