Tbilisi: The influential travel publication National Geographic Travel magazine has prepared a special guide to the 100 best cities. The tourist places of Tbilisi have also been presented in the guide.

In a special edition, journalist Joseph Richard Yogert, who travelled to Tbilisi as part of the press tour of the National Tourism Administration writes about Tbilisi, describing the historical districts, history, cultural monuments, museums, theaters, tourist routes, hotels, catering establishments. Along with Tbilisi, the guide also introduces tourists to Mtskheta.

“Tbilisi has been under the influence of the East and the West for a long time. The heritage of this city makes visitors aware of their own senses. As you listen to traditional music at the crossroads of the city, you will be introduced to a heritage that is influenced by both the early Christian period and the Middle Eastern region. Tbilisi is the best place to taste delicious Georgian dishes that combine both Persian and Mediterranean cuisine.

The journalist also highlighted the architectural elegance of Tbilisi , saying- “One can really see and touch the heritage that is highlighted in the architecture of Old Tbilisi. Here one can get to see those “Italian courtyards”, whose balconies are distinguished by wooden railings and spiral staircases. This design is more reminiscent of a Silk Road caravan than an Italian one. Here, the neighborhood patio lifestyle brings together a family of all generations. Here they gather, eat, talk, sing, feast and play.”

The National Geographic Travel magazine describes sulfur baths, Mtskheti temples and Tbilisi National Park in detail in the guidebook.

“Tbilisi National Park is spread to the north of Saguramo mountain range. Lynx, bear and deer live here in the wild. There are hiking trails in the national park. From here you can see a breathtaking view of the Tianeti road,” wrote Richard.
