The Minister stated-“Congratulations on the International Day of Tolerance, which Georgia celebrates every year with the world community to prove that human beings, their dignity and rights are the greatest value for humanity.”

By the United Nations Resolution, this day since 1996, November 16, marks the importance of respect and appreciation for the rich and diverse cultures of the world, the importance of peaceful, solidarity and harmonious coexistence of various ethnicities.

These shared values are an integral part of life. Georgia is one of the best examples of cultural diversity, distinguished by the historical experience of harmonious coexistence of different ethnicities, culture, creeds and traditions, with mutual respect and calmness.

Equality and protection of the rights of ethnic minorities are ensured by relevant Georgian legislation, established international standards and implemented mechanisms.

It is on these values and Georgia’s unique historical experience that the state policy of civil equality and integration is based, on strengthening inter-ethnic relations in the country and caring for equal opportunities for development and inclusion. The goal is to promote equality and equality.

The International Day of Tolerance is a reminder that a society is based on the principles of equality and tolerance is a solid foundation for democratic stability and stable development.

The Office of the Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civil Equality of Georgia celebrates this day with a diverse program and activities focused on youth. It is through their principled position and more active involvement that the country can consolidate and strengthen a tolerant environment based on high standards of human rights and equality.
