Georgia:Â Tea Akhvlediani met with the village people of Dmanisi Municipality and opened a large-scale information campaign in the Lower Kartli region.
The Minister of State, as a key advocate for the public’s welfare, spearheaded a large-scale information campaign in the Lower Kartli region. In a welcome speech, the Minister outlined the campaign’s objectives to the public gathered in Dmanisi, aiming to educate and raise awareness of government programs and services, and various ongoing issues.
As Tea Akhvlediani highlighted, the campaign will equip the population with vital information about education, learning the state language, health care, agriculture, social assistance, and grants. It will also shed light on government programs and services, free legal assistance, and supportive activities established by the government, all of which are designed to improve the quality of life for the residents.Â
At the meeting with the population, the Minister stressed the importance of informing representatives of ethnic minorities about state services and programs. This is the essential prerequisite for the full participation of non-Georgian citizens in every sphere of public life and, simultaneously, one of the priorities of the state policy of civil equality and integration.Â
State Commissioner Giorgi Dokhturishvili and Mayor of Dmanisi Municipality Koba Muradashvili also participated in the meeting and addressed the attending public.
Tea Akhvlediani said, “To represent different ethnicities for our fellow citizens, to promote inclusion in all areas of interest to them, and to ensure equal development opportunities is one of the top priorities of our policy.” As part of the State Strategy for Civil Equity and Integration, along with providing simplified free opportunities for state language teaching and education, we promote the socio-economic integration of local people in densely populated regions with ethnic minorities through government programs and services and their proper information process.”
A large-scale multi-component information campaign on government programs and services throughout Lower Kartli will be held under the leadership and coordination of the Ministry of State, in close cooperation with local governments of the Lower Kartli region and with direct participation of representatives of government agencies. The campaign will last from April 16 to May 22.
