Kutaisi: Tea Tsulukiani, the Georgian Minister of culture and sports hosted the under-17 European champion, Miranda Kapanadze in the Kutaisi Drama Theater. Miranda Kapanadze is the first Georgian female wrestler (57 kg) who won the European Championship in under- 17 category.
The Kutaisi Theater welcomed the Georgian European Champion who is from Chiaturi and with the presentation of a successful play of recent times, “Helver’s Night”. The play is directed by the artistic director of the theater Giorgi Tavadze.
It is especially important that so far no any other women of any age group of Georgia had a champion in this level of competition and Miranda Kapanadze achieved such a success and made the country proud at international leval.
The Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia congratulated Miranda Kapanadze on the great victory and wishes her the best wishes for more victories in the future In addition minister Tea Tsulukiani also promised her support and said that the Ministry will do everything to support the talented athlete.
The event was also attended by artistic directors of theaters operating in the sphere of governance of the Ministry of Culture to mesmerise the audience with their electrifying performance.
The European champion was hounred with the gifts on this great achievement for the sports space of country. The play “Helver’s Night”, which was a great success is a psychological drama and tells the story of the difficult life and relationship of two people Karla and Helver.
Karla and Helver are generalized as archetypes of mother and child, woman and man, healer and patient. Helver is an eternal child although he is thirty years old and Karla is “a little older”. The psychological state of Carla and Helver is intertwined.
Famous actors Ramaz Ioseliani and Eva Khutunashvili participate in the play. Vera Kipiani is the author of costumes and scenography. The Minister of Culture and sports also reiterate that government is determined to support the sportspersons of the country so that they can achieve the success at high-level international sports events.
Meanwhile the wrester and under-17 champion also thanked the organisers of this event. She also thanked the minister for this warm welcome which made her day memorable. She said that she will do her best to make the country proud in future.
