Tetritskaro Municipality organizes info-tour in Pitareti Monastery and Khuluti Castle Hall

Georgia: The highly significant info-tour, a pivotal event in the promotion of cultural heritage, was meticulously organized in Pitareti Monastery and Khuluti Castle Hall.

With the unwavering support of Tetritskaro Municipality and the visionary leadership of Nino Burchuladze, the founder of ‘Movement for Cultural Heritage’, a collaborative effort led to the successful organization of an info-tour in the Khrami river valley.

The event’s goal is to support the development of tourist and cultural routes in Khrami Valley and to promote two important monuments, Pitareti Monastery and Khuluti Castle.

The tour was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals including the Mayor of the municipality, Giorgi Tsiklauri, Deputy Mayor, Devi Mukhashavria and Lia Zurebiani, representatives of the City Hall Tourism and Economic Development Promotion Service, executives of the company ‘Aremji,’ representatives of the academic circle, tourist companies, guides and invited guests. They were enlightened about the results of rehabilitation works and engaged in fruitful discussions about the future prospects of Route I.

Later, participants of the event had the opportunity to visit the newly rehabilitated XVII-century Khuluti Castle, where discussions took place on Lower Kartli tourist routes.

It is a testament to our collective efforts that the rehabilitation works of Pitareti Monastery and Khuluti Castle-Hall, spanning from 2018 to 2023, have been successfully completed. These endeavors were initiated by the ‘Movement for Cultural Heritage’ and received crucial financial support from the company ‘Aremji’.

The organization still has to monitor these monuments, even though active tourist routes do not pose an added threat to them.
