The valley is worth visiting, whether you want lush mountains to soothing your eyes, yummy cuisine to sample, adventurous activities to do, or ancient rich history to learn by visiting old monuments. The place is also the first choice of international tourists due to the easy accessibility of location from Tbilisi  the country’s capital city. The international airport at Tbilisi also added value to the place. The main valley and most of the monasteries are less than two hours away from the capital, Tbilisi.

Although most of the monuments or monasteries can be approached by car, some in the Abukhalo require hiking due to their vulnerability to floods by local rivers. If they want to know about the different and exceptional architectural marvels, the valley boasts its Kozipa Monastery  which has five churches with unique designs. The other are the Kintsvisi monastery and Mdzovreti fortress  which never disappoints visitors.  The church of Nativity, built in memory of the Virgin Mary, is an example of an articutreal marvel with a spiritual touch.

Those who want serenity and peace of mind can find the perfect destination here to enjoy panoramic views of lush mountains. Similarly  the Bateti Lake  named after the village Bateti  is known for its health benefits  which can also cure many respiratory and nervous system disorders.
