Tbilisi, Georgia: The pre-election event of the (GD) “Georgian Dream” party will be held on October 23 in the capital city. Due to the event, traffic on Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue will be completely banned.
Due to the large number of people who want to attend the event, the capital’s streets are expected to be overloaded. The restriction will be in effect from October 23 at 00:00 until the end of the event.
The movement will be restricted from Kote Abkhaz and Shalva Dadiani streets to Freedom Square. Vehicles going to Freedom Square will move to Pandus on Baratashvili Street, Rustaveli Avenue, and First Republic Square.
Traffic will be allowed with the help of Giorgi Leonidze, Pavle Ingorokva, Aleksandre Chavchavadze, Aleksandre Griboedov, Nikoloz Bartashvili, and Revaz Tabukashvili streets. Traffic will be changed on Ivane Machabli Street. It will be possible to get to Leonidze Street in the direction of the Nsport movement from Asatiani Street to Machabli Street.
From Petre Melikishvili Avenue to the rest of Mtatsminda, drivers will be able to access the streets of Mtatsmindi through Simon Janashia, Ivane Tarkhanishvili, Tamar Chovelidze, Mikheil Zandukeli streets, and afterward, Vasil Barnov, Jacob Gogebashvili, and Polikarpe Kakabadze streets; from the rest of the roads of Mtatminda district to the area of Melikishvila Avenue and the metro station “Rustaveli”, it will be allowed by Alexan Dre Griboedov, Kote Makashvili, Vasil Barnov and Through the streets of Akaki Shanidze.
Private cars going to Freedom Square from the area near the metro station “Rustaveli” will be able to move with the help of Mikheil Javakhishvili Street and Mtkvari Right Bank.
Due to the large number of people who want to attend the event, overloaded traffic is expected in the capital’s streets. Citizens are urged to refrain from traveling in private vehicles as much as possible so as not to cause discomfort during the journey.
