Surami: A very special training session was held recently in city. This training session was held for children participating in the project “Young Leaders for Climate Change”.
It is worth to note that this training session was held from February 26 to February 28, young people from Marneuli, Kareli, Dusheti and Kaspi municipalities will study and discuss the following issues in detail:
- Causes of climate change and global warming
- Measures to mitigate the climate change process
- International practices in combating climate change
- Environmental volunteering
The trainings are being held within the framework of the project “Young Leaders for Climate Change” and aim to strengthen the capabilities of young people in the process of mitigating and adapting to the risks caused by climate change.
As per the organisers of the meetings at the next stage of the training, the planned activities will help young people (16-24 years old) to understand their rights and responsibilities and will contribute to increasing their involvement in the local community.
The activity is organized within the framework of the project “EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment”, which is funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The issues of climate change have become very common since last one to two decades. The social as well as many other organisers are working round the clock to spread maximum awareness on the issues.
The rising global temperature coupled with changed weather patterns has caused multiple environmental issues in many countries of the world. The changed weather has causes issues such as lower production of crops.
The crops are usually gets damaged with this trend volatile weather conditions in many countries of the world as well. It is worth to note that the Georgian government have also launched many efforts in this direction.
In the Georgia the ministry of environment protection and agriculture have is making efforts to protect the flora and fauna of Georgia so that negative effects of weather changes can be mitigated as well.
