Training held on waste mangement by Nino Bichnigauri

Nion Bichnigauri, an Eco-education and public relations specialist of the Aragvi Protected Landscape Administration, conducted a training on the topic of waste management in the Sahaburo public school. This training session was part of the project "We are the guardians of the Aragvi Valley".

Nion Bichnigauri, an Eco-education and public relations specialist of the Aragvi Protected Landscape Administration, conducted a training on the topic of waste management in the Sahaburo public school. This training session was part of the project “We are the guardians of the Aragvi Valley”.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the project is being implemented by the students of the school’s self-government, civic education and eco club members to solve the problem in the community.

It is worth mentioning that The project is organised by USAID, INTERNATIONAL and the Civic Education Teachers’ Forum under the head of the Civic Education Teachers Olympiad.USAID is the premier AID agency at the international level. USAID is supporting many key projects in different countries, including Georgia.

A presentation on the theme of waste management was also displayed on a digital board. Students saw the presentation carefully and got an in-depth understanding of the topic.

A huge number of school students take part in this event and watch the presentation on the Digital board. They also asked questions regarding waste management strategies and the role of educational institutions.

Notably key speakers of the event also aware students on various initiative being taken by them to preserve the protected areas. They also encourage the student to play an active role in the protection of protected areas of the country.

As project is called we are guardians of Agravi Valley all the participating students were advised to become part of this project.

waste management was the main agenda of the session, students were advised to adopt environmentally friendly practices to reduce the production of waste material.

Waste management means proper disposal of the waste material by causing low harm to the environment. Proper waste management is the biggest issue throughout the world.
Every year, a vast quantity of waste material is produced through various industrial and other associated activities. Unless and until waste material is disposed of properly, it remains a cause of concern for civil administration and environmental-related agencies.

The only way suggested by experts in switching to healthy and environmentally friendly practices to mitigate the loss.

At The occasion, Aragvi Protected Landscape Administration handed over seedlings to the school and planted them in the schoolyard.
