Georgia: There will be a two day excursion to Sumela Uzungoli – Trapizon‘s scenic beauty exploration on May 17 and 18, 2025. During this trip, the participants will be able to view and relish the Black Sea coastline of Georgia. Lazeti is also a place of interest where one can appreciate the ancient Georgian culture which still exists in the Ponto Mountains and the Lazebi Settlements.
It will also include a visit of an Orthodox monastery, which may date back to the 4th-5th centuries, Sumela Monastery, known for being built into a cliff side.

Plan Overview and Key Locations for Trapizon
The first day includes traveling to the Black Sea coast where the group will visit the Sumela Monastery along with a trip to the Forum shopping mall in Trapizon. The group will spend the night in a comfortable hotel and will take a walk through the city in the evening.
Next, after breakfast on day two, participants will proceed to visits of Little Hagia Sophia, the Trapizon Aquarium as well as Uzungol Lake, which is one of the most famous tourist sites in Turkey. The tour ends with returning to Tbilisi.
The cost of the tour will be 250 GEL, covering transportation by bus or minibus, guiding and accompanying services, hotel accommodation with breakfast, and transfers within the city. It does not cover the entrance fee to the Sumela Monastery; 65 GEL and the Aquarium; 33 GEL, however, are additional expenses. A valid ID card or passport is required for travel, issued no less than six months prior.
