The Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia, Ahmed Alnuaimi.
The Government of Adjara shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on September 8, 2026, Tuesday. A small note about the meeting was also shared along with the glimpses.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for deepening economic relations between the two countries and the development of investment opportunities. The growing dynamics of cooperation between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates were positively assessed, and it was noted that Georgia is becoming an increasingly important partner for the Emirates in the region.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of expanding people-to-people and business ties, with both sides showing interest in exploring new areas of partnership and creating more opportunities for future cooperation.
The Chairman of the Government introduced the ambassador to the tourism and investment potential of Adjara. According to Zurab Pataradze, further strengthening the position of Batumi as an international tourism and business center is a priority. To this end, readiness was expressed to develop new formats of cooperation with tourism companies and the private sector of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including the organization of joint business forums, tourism events and B2B meetings.
Special attention was paid to the dynamics of interest in investing in Georgia from the Emirates and the factor of Adjara’s versatile resources in this process. At the end of the meeting, readiness was expressed to develop cooperation in various fields, including the potential of the Black Sea and strengthening existing cooperation in the context of the Middle Corridor.
