Tbilisi: Anna Dolidze, the founder of the ‘For People Party’ and the former deputy Defence Minister under the Georgian Dream authorities, said that ‘Victory of Ukraine would put an end to the Georgian Dream ruling party.
In her comments, Dolidze said that the Georgian Dream Party has been merely creating an illusion that it was taking sufficient steps towards European integration of the country. Further stating, she said, “The only thing left for the Georgian Dream is to prolong the time in power until we learn something about Ukraine”.
For its part, the Georgian Dream has been accusing the part of of the domestic opposition of not actively participating in the working groups which were established to address the 12-point conditions by the European Commission for Georgia to acquire membership status.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Georgia , Irakli Garibashvili, has met th Georgian Ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski to discuss on principal directions of the European Union – Georgia association agenda.
The officials noted that with Georgia’s acquisition of the European perspective in June, the country’s future has been engraved in the European Union. That decision has laid a foundation for a new stage that should bring it to EU membership, said the Government administration.
Garibashvili also stressed upon the immediate reaction of his government towards European Council and presented an action plan to fulfill the 12-point conditions of the European Union required to acquire the candidate status.
