Tbilisi: Valery Imishvili, a pilot with Georgian Airwaysb shared his experience. Georgian Airlines also shared his story on its official page.
According to him, “A high degree of responsibility and deep knowledge are the basic qualities every pilot must have to be a successful air professional.” The 36-year-old ship commander Valery Imishvili has been working at Georgian Airways since 2013 and has 8,000 flight hours on two types of aircraft: the Embraer-190 and Boeing-737.
It is to be added that the aviation sector was a natural choice for Valery as his grandfather was a pilot, and his father was an aviation technician, so he continued the family tradition. Notably, after graduating from the Tbilisi Aviation University, he continued his studies at the Civil Aviation Higher School in Ukraine to get international exposure. He also remembers his first independent flight In 2013. The first flight he flew from the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, to Tel Aviv the capital of Israel.
He further added “Aviation is such a natural field for me. I don’t remember any special difficulties after studying or starting independent flights. On the contrary this process brings me special joy and pleasure. It is especially the take-off and landing considered the most difficult processes for a pilot.
He says that aviation is a lifestyle that involves constant work and self-development. Together with the ship’s commander, Valery works as an instructor with young pilots. He remembers that during his studies he received the most useful professional advice from the instructors and today he himself from the position of an instructor shares his knowledge and experience with the new generation of pilots.
According to him “First of all an aviator needs education as well as the assimilation of many theoretical materials. Every flight is special so before every flight, the pilot must be prepared to make the flight safely. A high degree of responsibility and deep knowledge are the qualities that a pilot must have.”
