Ambrolauri: A working meeting was recently held under the state trustee Papuna Margvelidze. The Mayors and Chairman of Oni, Ambrolauri, Tsageri, and Lentekhi municipalities attended this meeting as well.
The meeting was held to discuss the progress of current and planned infrastructural projects in the region. It also discussed the activities and schemes that will be implemented by the tourism and forestry agency and a number of other priority issues.
Other issues discussed included how to provide firewood and other things of daily need to the population. At the same time together with the representatives of the relevant services they discussed the measures that have to be taken in the near future to promote and develop the tourism sector.
As per the state representative Papuna Margvelidze “Tourism is an important sector of the economy which has the potential to develop entrepreneurial activity in the region and significantly improve the current social situation. With coordinated and active work, the challenges in the field can be overcome.”
It is to be noted that other current and planned projects throughout the country were also discussed at the meeting. They discussed the needs of individual municipalities and their specific needs that required immediate attention. Moreover the heads of municipalities received specific tasks from the Governor.
As per the representative of the municipalities the working meetings of this type will continue in an intensive mode, ensuring the timely resolution of significant and priority issues in the region with the coordinated cooperation of regional and local authorities.
It is worth noting that besides the Mayors and chairmen of Sakrebulo, the deputies of the state trustee, Kristina Kobakhidze, Berdia Chankseliani, and Aluda Tutisani, and the head of the trustee’s office, Marika Dvali attended the working meeting.
The attendees of the meeting highlighted the needs of their respective municipalities. They also added that with the coordination of all the central and local authorities the important project would be completed very soon.
