Georgia: The project of arranging the scaffolding for covering the dome of St. George’s Cathedral is progressing well, with the scaffolding now being built on the roof of the dome. They are pleased to report significant and promising progress in the restoration works at the Alaverdi monastery complex.
At the same time, the removal of cement under the roof of the cramite on the western minashen (Stoa) of the church is being supervised by specialists.
The removal of the granite roof on the Episcopal House and the insulation membrane were installed.
The project works on the dome of the Cathedral, the gate-bell, and the Episcopal House continue.

Regrettably, the cross was destroyed, and the surrounding area’s infrastructure suffered significant damage, underscoring the urgent need for restoration.
In agreement with representatives of the Diocese of Alaverde and the agency, scaffolding around the Cathedral has begun and continues so that the specialists can work fully.
