Zugdidi, Georgia: The Zugdidi District Court fully shared the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, especially the fact that the large quantity of drugs was found by an organized group, and the large amount of the drugs was found guilty.
The evidence against the culprits were collected and presented in court by the office of Prosecutor. The court accepted all the evidence produced during the trial against the accused by prosecutors as well.
According to the evidence presented at the trial, it was confirmed that the three defendants, who were members of an organized group, several times opened a large quantity of drugs methadone (foundation) in Zugdidi, and one of the defendants illegally purchased and stored a huge amount of drugs Methadone (Foundation).
Notably after receiving the information about the alleged occurrence investigation agencies have started an investigation. Moreover, law enforcement officers arrested the accused on the same day. They were charged under Article 260 Article 3 “a“, Section 5 “a” and Section 7 “b” subclause (illegal purchase, possession, seizure of large quantities of narcotics by an organized group), and one person, also, under Article 6 “a” subclause of Article 260 (especially the illegal purchase of large quantities of drugs) and Section 273 Prima presented in Article 2 (the illegal purchase of marijuana).
All the other criminal provisions are considered very strict provisions of law. The accused was also found to guilty of all the mentioned crime was sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
The Zugdidi District Court found the accused persons fully guilty of the charges and determined the form and length of the sentence as 15, 16 and 14 years of imprisonment respectively. The complainant and other persons associated with the case welcomed the decision of the case.
The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office carries out a strict criminal policy against drug dealers, which will continue in the future.
