Deputy Minister and Archivist Authority Head Commemorate Archivist Day

Georgia: In a heartfelt gathering at the Ajara Archive Authority, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports, Badri Nakashidze, with Maia Ivanishvili, the head of the Archivist Authority, extended warm congratulations to the employees, marking the occasion of Archivist Day.

Acknowledging the role of archives, Nakashidze emphasized their significance not only within the region but also on a national scale. “The activities of the Archive Authority are widely recognized, serving as a cornerstone of our statehood and providing an indispensable historical documented basis,” he remarked. Nakashidze also praised their commitment to preserving documents of immense value, ensuring they are safeguarded for future generations. “With your high level of professionalism, knowledge, and care, you protect and preserve documents of special significance, ensuring they remain accessible for years to come,” he commended.

In a show of solidarity and support, Nakashidze assured the Ajara Archive Authority of continued backing from the Ministry within its jurisdiction. “The Ministry remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the Ajara Archive Authority, ensuring its success, and recognizing the invaluable contributions of its staff,” he affirmed.

Maia Ivanishvili expressed gratitude to the employees for their tireless efforts in maintaining the integrity of historical records. “Your dedication to your profession is commendable, and your hard work does not go unnoticed,” she remarked.

The gathering served as a moment of reflection on the vital role archives play in preserving the collective memory of society.
