Adjara government is all set to provide financial assistance to 194 families affected by fire and natural disasters. The total amount of 1 million 704,609 GEL will be spent by administration in these directions.
The issue to provide assistance to these family was discussed recently in a meeting. The meeting was held under Minister Nino Nizharadze. The Minister Nino Nizharadze while chairing this meeting of the Joint Governmental Commission for the Liquidation of Damage Caused by Natural Disasters within the administrative borders of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara express concerns about their situations.
As per information from commission a total of 1 million 704,609 GEL will be allocated from the reserve fund of the republican budget to assist 23 families affected by fires. The another 171 families affected by natural disasters will be also eligible to get the assistance under this programs. Â The commission’s recommendation will be sent to the Chairman of the Government of Ajara for signature in the coming days.
Financial assistance will be provided to families affected by the fire in all six municipalities of the region. The detailed information about this assistance to families will be as per follow:
- Batumi City Municipality – 6 families affected by the fire, 55,072 GEL
- Kobuleti Municipality – 85 families affected by the fire and natural disaster, 483,318 GEL
- Khelvachauri Municipality – 12 families affected by the fire and natural disaster, 178,044 GEL
- Keda Municipality – 24 families affected by the fire and natural disaster, 207,676 GEL
- Shuakhevi Municipality – 31 families affected by the fire and natural disaster, 408,227 GEL
- Khulo Municipality – 36 families affected by the natural disaster, 372,272 GEL.
In 2024, families in the same category were provided with financial assistance in the amount of 4 million 475,768 GEL from the Reserve Fund of the Government of Ajara for the restoration/rehabilitation of residential houses.
