Gardabani: An important road project of twenty-five kilometers in length is being constructed in full swing. The Project will connect Rustavi-Gardabani-Vakhtang with each other.
It is to be specifically mentioned that this 25-kilometer-long Rustavi-Gardabani-Vakhtangi road of domestic importance was in poor condition for a long time. The other roads are also under review by the Municipality for rehabilitation and reconstruction to develop better connectivity.
The state trustee of the Kvemo Kartli region visited the road project site to inspect ongoing work. He was accompanied by the State Trustee in Kvemo Kartli, Pavle Gamkrelidze and Davit Kargareteli the Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia.
At the same time the Mayor of Gardabani Municipality and Mikheil Gedekhauri, the Chairman of the City Council were also present. All the members of the visiting delegation familiarized themselves with the road infrastructure project’s works. They also interacted with the officials of the construction company.
It is worth noting that the project is divided into three lots. Currently, the works of the second lot are in progress. Moreover two layers of asphalt-concrete road surface will be laid under this framework. Similarly horizontal road marking works will be carried out and road signs will be installed. It should be noted that 6 kilometers of asphalt-concrete pavement on the road has already been arranged.
The Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is carrying out the road construction work. A total amount of 30,000,000 GEL will be spent on the road construction project also.
Notbaly Municipality deputy Mayor Ilia Jalaghania and other representatives of the local government visited the ongoing works together with the trustee. The work on the drainage along the road is also prepared. This will make the drainage of waste easy so that in the rainy seasons water logging does not create any problems for commuters.
