David Nozadze, the State Commissioner of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, held the first working meeting of the year with the mayors of municipalities at the regional administration centre. This was held with the objective of enhancing the coordination between all the municipalities.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the parties discuss the issues on the agenda. The discussion included the progress of the Prime Minister’s initiative programs, future projects, existing needs and ways to solve them.
Speaking further on the occasion the commissioner, David Nozadze, thanked the heads of municipalities for active communication on the generation of projects and called for the continuation of coordinated work. He also said that with mutual cooperation and coordination, they will be eligible to make the working of municipalities more smooth and stable.
On the occasion, while expressing his views, commissioner David Nozadze noted that “It is important to have close communication between the local government and the population. Local government officials should be keenly aware of the needs of our citizens so that, step by step, we can address problematic issues. Also, it is of utmost importance to implement planned infrastructure projects in a timely and qualitative way, for which all parties in the monitoring process require the active involvement of all parties”.
During the meeting between the commissioner and mayors, the “Introduction of Investment and Humanitarian Projects” presentation and summary report were also held. Similarly, together with the leaders of the region and municipalities, Director Giorgi Atashvili discussed the projects implemented in the past years, as well as planned.
It is to be noted that at the end of the talks, the parties noted that 2024 will be even more productive for Mtskheta in terms of implementing different kinds of projects, for which they will continue intensive and active cooperation with all relevant agencies. This important meeting was also attended by deputies and a representative of the State Commissioner.
