The Government of the Republic of Georgia has announced the implementation of the “Village Support Program”. Under this program, various social welfare schemes have been planned with the amount budget of 40 600 000 GEL .
It is to be added that according to the Government of Georgia, 40 600 000 GEL has been allocated across the country for the implementation of the “Village Support Program”. At the same time, in 2024, 668,000 Gel was allocated for the implementation of this program in Sagarejo Municipality of Georgia.
There will be Meetings in villages in the form of a general meeting, which will start on February 5 and will be held step by step in 24 villages of the municipality. These meetings will give the opportunity to locals to share their suggestions with the government representatives.
It is to be added that under the framework of the “Village Support Program”, with the decision of the locals, it will be possible to implement the following projects in different villages which includes:
Drinking water systems including boreholes, water pipes, top bumps, sewage bumps, wells, etc.
Irrigation systems, Drainage canals, Siding jobs, Roads and roadside waiters, also sidewalks and other road infrastructure,
Bridges, bridges, crossings.
Similarly fund will also be used for the following:
1: Outdoor Lighting
2 The facilities of the nearby schools
3:Preschool institutions and relevant inventory
4:Sports infrastructure, fields and playground inventory
5:Squares, including children’s squares, with appropriate inventory, as well as recreation areas and wet spots, with appropriate inventory
6:Rehabilitation of mills and appropriate inventory
7:Cemetery fencing and furnishing
8:Mini hydroelectric stations and appropriate rehabilitation/restoration
9:Placing of relevant signs, as well as tourist attractions, according to the names and addresses of geographical objects.
it is to be specifically mentionend that the Village Support Program is also being implemented to solve problems in the villages which aims to improve the relationship between the population and the self-government body and eliminate problems in the village.
