The national wine agency of Georgia organizes many events for the market expansion of Georgian wine worldwide. The agency’s representative recently held a wine-tasting festival in the capital of Belgium, Brussels.
In the heart of Brussels, a grand-scale Georgian wine tasting event was a resounding success with huge footfall of the wine lovers. Ten different types of Georgian wines were presented, attracting a diverse audience of about 1000 guests, including journalists, bloggers, and representatives from the commercial sector.
It is to be mentioned explicitly that the event contractor company “FLOW SRL” organized this wine-tasting event. A similar large-scale presentation of Georgian wine will be held in Brussels at the end of June this year, which will contribute to raising awareness and diversifying export markets.

Since 2013 the agency has been implementing targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the USA, Europe, and Asia aiming to diversify the wine markets.
Georgia is called the homeland of wine. Wine lovers who visit the country as tourists can taste many types of wines. It has also been noted that the old-age method the “qvevry wine-making method,” is still in practice in the country.
In this method of winemaking, many grapes and other materials are filled in the old qvevry (oval-shaped earthen pot) for fermentation. Many winemakers still use this practice in the wineries in rural areas and villages of Georgia.
The National Wine Agency of Georgia is dedicated to promoting and marketing Georgian wine. As part of this mission, the agency has implemented various strategies to boost wine tourism in the country, including wine exhibitions, festivals, and other events to expand the market for Georgian wine.
