The Ministry of Culture of Georgia handed over the lighting management system to the Professional State Drama Theater of Gori. This was another step towards improving the theater’s existing infrastructure so that a maximum number of artists could benefit from it.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia with an aim to uplift the existing infrastructure  has given the Professional State Drama Theater a new lighting control system. The newly handed-over system corresponds to the modern standards of the Giorgi Eristavi Professional State Drama Theater of Gori.
As per the information from sources familiar with the matter in November 2023 Â the Ministry of Culture signed a contract with a company selected through a tender to update the stage lighting and sound systems of 16 state theaters in Georgia. Other musical centers that will benefit include the Shota Rustaveli Theater and the Cinema State University of Georgia.
Almost all of these seventeen organizations will be properly equipped with the latest equipment by spring 2025. Equipment delivery is carried out in stages. The contract’s total value is 2,160,000 GEL Â which will be spent on upgrading the music and cultural center.
It is also worth mentioning that the  Ministry of Culture purchased a projection device worth 320,000 GEL for the Rustaveli National Theater  which will be handed over to the theater in the fall of this year. T
he equipment purchased by the Ministry has already been handed over to the Professional State Theater  named after Valerian Gunia of Poti. After that, the lighting system will be handed over to the Professional State Theater for Young Spectators  named after Nodar Dumbadze.
