A Tbilisi court has reportedly allowed the Anti-correction bureau to take action against the movement called “Vote for Europe.” The Anti-corruption Bureau can now access the bank details of movement to detect any illegal transaction.

As per the information the Court also gave permission to the agency to access the personal information. The agency can ask the founder and organization itself to furnish the financial information required by it.

The lawyer of the movement criticized the order of the court as unlawful. He also announced that they would go for an appeal against the order of Tbilisi court.

It is worth noting that the Georgian President inaugurated the Movement just two months ago on July 11. The Movement was established to integrate representatives of civil society organizations in protecting independence, freedom etc.

At the time of its launch it was announced that the movement’s people would reach every Georgian in the next “100 Days to Victory” campaign, which started on July 18 and will run until October 26.

One of the movement’s founders Khatna Lagazidze said that in May of this year the lawmaker had already amended the law related to political associations. The law is even stricter than any earlier law. However this movement aims to protect the rights of every citizen of Georgia and will continue in this direction without any threat.

Meanwhile the Georgian Prime Minister said in a press conference a day ago that the ruling regime has nothing to do with these rules. As per the Prime Minister these rules were made before the year and have been in effect since the same year as well.

Moreover the Prime Minister Defended the anti-corruption Bill. He said that this action is necessary to prevent the misuse of any illegal money that can be used to affect the elections.

He blamed the movement for abetting the people for violation of the election code, which is a direct threat to the conduct of transparent and independent elections to parliament.
