The republican budget of Adjara for 2025 has increased by 11%. The total budgetary amount has now reached 850,100,000 GEL which will be utilished for the number of development works.
At today’s meeting of the Ajdara government, chairman Tornike Rizhvadze reviewed the planned and current projects in the region within the increased budget and noted that all projects are designed for the needs and well-being of each resident of Ajara. After the October 26 elections, the implementation of projects will continue with a new approach.
At the same time, the government chairman assessed the pre-election environment in the region. He noted that there will be a fair and transparent election environment in the region, a view also shared by international observation missions. He said that the excesses of the opposition radical forces contain criminal signs and should be dealt with accordingly.
According to Tornike Rizhvadze, double-digit economic growth is possible only in conditions of business freedom and peace. For the second year in a row, the growth in the Ajara region and the country as a whole is one of the most advanced in Europe and the world.
The republican budget of Adjara has increased by 85,400,000 GEL. A tender has already been announced within the budget’s framework to implement essential programs in various directions.
Among them are the construction works of the FIFA-standard “Machakhela” football stadium with a capacity of 450 spectators, the sports school and football stadium of Khulo township and the construction works of the “Football Club Bethlehem” stadium in Keda township is in full swing.
Moreover a tender was announced for the construction of a new 1.4-kilometer seaside park in Kobuleti. Construction of a residential building for eco-migrants in Kobuleti will also begin.
The gasification and water system development projects of mountainous Adjara will be financed. Projects promoting the development of mountain resorts and recreational areas will be implemented.
According to the chairman’s information attracting investments and promoting tourism remains one of the priority directions. Moreover within the framework of the updated budget, tourism funding will be increased and a new tourist infrastructure will be created.
