Georgia: The Georgian School Doctors Association (GSDA) organized the Adjara School Doctors Medical Multidisciplinary Conference- Actual Issues of Pediatrics on September 1, 2024.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara, Nino Nizharadze, and the First Deputy Minister, Mari Zanakidze.
Nino Nizharadze said, “I am delighted to report that the joint project of the Georgian ministries of education and health care, aimed at integrating medical staff into general education institutions, has been a resounding success over the past several years. This initiative, which protects the health of future generations, is a testament to our collective efforts. “
“The role of a school doctor and their work are of utmost importance in the process of education, development and health protection of the school pupils. I extend my heartfelt thanks to each medical staff for their hard work and daily activities,” – said the Minister, Nino Nizharadze during his speech.
The conference delved into a range of crucial topics in school medicine, each of which plays a significant role in the health and well-being of our students. These topics included the diagnosis and management of the most common respiratory diseases in children, the role of drinking water in the development of children and adults in school, the significance of nutrition, the psycho-emotional-neurological status of children, and the delicate balance between norm and pathology.
These discussions provided invaluable insights and knowledge to all participants, ensuring that we are all well-informed and equipped to handle these issues.
Under the joint order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and the Minister of Refugees, Labor, Health and Social Protection of Refugees from the Occupied Territories of Georgia on March 21, 2022, the school is committed to promoting the continuous professional education of school doctors. The conference mentioned that state accreditation for continuous vocational education has been granted.
