The administration of the Ambrolauri municipality have been taking all measures to reduce negative effects of heavy snowfall. The authorities have also advised citizens of stay indoor unless urgent work outside.
The Ambrolaur municipality while taking to municipality shared this information. It was disclosed that all necessary measures will be taken to prevent any untoward incident due to worsening weather across all parts of Municipality as well.
The official Facebook page of the Municipality stated that, “All necessary measures are being taken in Ambrolauri Municipality to eliminate the problems caused by heavy snowfall. The cleaning works started in the morning and the work process continues in an intensive mode until now.”
It also stated, “Snow clearing works have been carried out so far in many areas which includes Agara, Ukeshi, Velevi, Kviriketsminda, Khwava, on certain sections of the Abari-Uravi-Likheti and Nikortsminda roads.”
At the same time road cleaning work is also on full swing. The road clearing works are underway in the villages of Bugeuli, Abanoeti, Bareuli, Gorisubani, Sadmeli, Dzirageuli, Tsakhi, Gogolati and Zhoshkha.
It is to be added that, the mayor of Ambrolauri Municipality, Zviad Mkheidze and First Deputy Mayor, Davit Goglidze got acquainted with the ongoing snow clearing works and the current situation in the villages being affected by heavy snowfall.
On this occasion due to the emergency damage, electricity supply has been interrupted in 62 villages of the municipality at this stage. However, the electricity is being supplied to the villages of Dzirageuli, Sadmeli, Bugeuli, Khimshi, Kvatskhuti, Itsa, half of Znakvi and the city of Ambrolauri.
The officials of municipality also said that Snow removal and electricity restoration works will continue in active mode from tomorrow morning and the central roads and problem areas of all administrative units of the municipality will be gradually cleared.
