A student namely Beka Gelashvili, wins annual scholarship. This annual scholarship was established by the Mayor of Ozurgeti municipality.
This year again this scholarship was given to Beka Gelashvili, by Mayor. The mayor urged him to work hard and wishes him all the best for a brighter career as well. The annual scholarship established by the mayor was awarded to Beka Gelashvili, a student from Ozurgeti.
As per information the brilliant scholarship winning student Beka graduated from Daba Laituri Public School with a gold medal in 2023 and continued his studies at the Akaki Tsereteli State University, Faculty of Natural Sciences (Biotechnology), with state funding.
Ozurgeti Mayor Avtandil Talakvadze, together with his deputy Natia Goliadze, hosted the successful student and his parents at the City Hall, congratulated them on the scholarship and wished them success.
While speaking about the success of students and her this historic achievement as well. The Mayor Avtandil Talakvadze added that “An incredibly talented and successful generation is coming to Ozurgeti, their support and encouragement is one of the priorities for our team. We congratulate Beka on his achieved results and progress and we wish him success in the future!”.
Notably the scholarship, within the framework of the sub-program “Increasing Access to Education”, will be awarded to a bachelor with the best rating, registered in the municipality, studying at an accredited higher education institution and having an academic performance index of 95 points or more after the end of the semester.
Moreover, the amount of the scholarship is determined at 1,000 GEL per semester which will be awarded to students if they fulfil criteria. The mayor while speaking further about the details of the scholarship program said, this financial assistance is small gesture for welfare of needy students said the Mayor.
It is also to be added the city hall administration has helped large numbers of students to far. The student organisation of Georgia are also contributing for providing financial support to students.
