The Mayor of the Ozurgeti city hall Avtandil Talakvadze shares details of the ongoing emergency work. The employees of emergency services of city hall have been engaged to complete the ongoing work in time for bringing life to normal.
The mayor while taking to his social media handles said that “It’s the 3rd day of snowing in Ozurgeti, that’s why we are working in an emergency mode. Central roads are cleaned from snow with special equipment in cities and villages. Appropriate measures have been taken so that transport movement does not stop in critically necessary directions.”
Mayor while speaking about electricity supply disruption said that the damaged power lines are being repaired. We are helping citizens involved in dialysis program.
He also said that we are doing everything we can to solve the problems caused by the heavy snowfall in the shortest possible time. Along with the relevant services of the City Hall, the Emergency Management Service of Guria and “Energo Pro Georgia” employees have been mobilized.
Technical teams are working intensively to restore electricity in problem areas. The electricity supply has been partially restored in Daba Ureki, Daba Nasakirali, Likhauri, Chanieti, Dzimiti, Jonchkati.
On the other hand the supply has been fully restored in the villages of Ozurgeti along with Gurianta, Creator, Labor, Nagomari, Vakijvari, Mtispiri, Bokhvauri, Melekeduri, Vakijjvari.
It is worth to note that heavy rain along with snowfall have created multiple problems in many areas of municipality badly. The vehicular movement also comes to halt in many areas of municipality.
The city hall authorities have engaged heavy machinery for road clearing works and work in going on in full swing. The mayor and other representatives of city hall along with higher officials are visiting road clearing sites also.
The workers of the disaster management departments are also working round the clock in coordination with other organisations so that traffic can be resumed on the roads. The weather department advised people to visit their official website for updated information.
