Georgia: Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Alexander Tsuladze who is on a working visit to India, held a working meeting with the Minister of State for Education of India, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the working meeting on its official Facebook page on the same day. It should be noted that the ministry also shared some information related to the meeting along with its snippets.

According to the information shared by the Georgian Education Ministry, it should be noted that the students introduced each other to the achievements in the field of education and ongoing and planned projects. Also, issues of educational connections between Georgia and India and deepening cooperation at the institutional level were discussed at the meeting.

It is noteworthy that, Alexander Tsuladze emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries and noted that India and Georgia have a long-term successful partnership.

At the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of promoting cooperation between Georgian and Indian higher educational institutions. The conversation touched upon the prospects of Georgian-Indian transnational education development and the partnership’s specific action plans in this direction.

The conversation was about the expansion of cooperation between universities, the implementation of joint exchange and doctoral programs, as well as the preparation of common publications.

In his part, Sukanta Majumdar positively assessed the ongoing projects in the Georgian education system, thanked the Minister for his cooperation, and expressed his willingness to deepen the partnership with Georgia.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Ana Mghebrishvili and Baia Kvitsiani, the Ambassador of Georgia to India, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, and Consul Ketevan Lagvilava.
