Aleksandre Tsuladze, the minister of education, science and youth of Georgia held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan. In this important meeting both sides discuss multiple issues of bilateral importance.
It s worth to note that the parties discussed the results achieved within the framework of the existing cooperation between the countries in the field of education and science and the prospects for future partnership. In this meeting both sides agreed to extend relevant assistance to each other for development of education and science research.
The Minister thanked the Ambassador of Armenia for the fruitful partnership and spoke about the development of the educational systems of the two countries. He also spoke about the promotion of scientific-research projects and support for exchange programs. According to him, the agreement signed in 2024 is another vivid example of the unique and multifaceted cooperation between Georgia and Armenia.
At the same time Georgian minister Alexandre Tsuladze emphasized the importance of the functioning of the Centre for Kartvelology at Yerevan State University and noted that the opening of the centre is very important in terms of strengthening educational and research activities in the field of Kartvelology and the dissemination of academic knowledge.
On the other hand, while sharing his views the Armenian Ambassador expressed his full readiness to strengthen cooperation with Georgia and thanked the Minister for many years of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties once again expressed their desires to strengthen partnership between the countries in terms of sharing knowledge and experience and implementing joint projects.
Both sides also touched the issues of validation of degree in other country. This is demand being raised by many students’ bodies since long time. According to these students’ bodies both countries should recognise the degree obtained in other country.
This will provide better job opportunities to students on each other country. The glimpses of this significant meeting were shared on the social media handles where people also supported to cooperation between both countries.
