According to him, one of their main goals is to strengthen and popularize Georgian language teaching – the Bilingual Education Program serves exactly this important task.
“Furthermore, we have an ambitious plan to ensure that there is no preschool or school that is not included in the bilingual education curriculum starting next school year,” the minister added.
The Minister thanked all the people involved in the Billingware Program for their efforts and noted that it is the merit of each of them for making the program such a success.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Tamar Makharashvili, and Deputy Minister of State for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, Lia Gigauri addressed the society present within the framework of the conference.
Bilingual teachers from non-Georgian public schools and preschools are participating in the three-day conference and its aim is to introduce interesting teaching practices, share professional experiences, and implement best bilingual methodologies within the framework of Bilingual reform. Participants discuss achievements within the bilingual program in both preschool and general education.
